Located at the new Isidel Beach Park (which is way better than the muddy parking lot it was for years), is a very cool idea. I'll get some of the details wrong because as usual I am not good at posting in the moment, but I read this story in the local newspaper.....The island wanted to encourage locals to vie for the prime restaurant location a the new beach park and so held a contest. Bonaire local Robertico Bernabela won and Seaside Krioyo Fusion Restaurant & Cocktail Bar came to be.
It was still just partially open when we dropped by for an Amstel one afternoon to enjoy the view. We didn't plan on eating, but the smells from the kitchen were too delicious to ignore so we had to order something.... TRUST ME.....order the goat burger. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
This was always one of my favorite dive sites (since there was no yellow rock, we named it "Holli's Dive", but I think it's actually Bari Reef). I'm glad they didn't spoil the critter hunting in the shallow with all the construction, but my little squiddy friends seemed to have moved on for the time being.
I'm looking forward to going back soon and trying more of their offerings. Look them up on Facebook "Seaside Krioyo Fusion" or drop by the park.
